Join Us For
Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer ™ Adult 3v3 Hockey Tournament
partnered with the Tampa Bay Lightning
October 23, 2022, 9:00am, at Amalie Arena

Cancer knows no bounds of gender, age, or race - it impacts everyone.  This year it's estimated that a little more than 1.9 million new cancer cases will be diagnosed in the US alone, and 609,360 people will die.  That's more than 1 person every minute dying because of this terrible disease.

CARES is proud to partner with the Tampa Bay Lightning to present a Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer™ Adult 3v3 Hockey Tournament. Proceeds from this event will support CARES' national cancer research, currently focused on pediatric glioblastoma brain tumors, and our healthcare partners at Moffitt Cancer Center.

Here's How You Can Get Involved!

Participate and Fundraise
1) Individual Players register for $50 to start fundraising and receive your Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer t-shirt at tournament check-in.  For tournament details, see our celebration information, below.

2) Raise funds by asking your network to donate.  To participate in the Tournament, players must fundraise or self-donate a minimum of $200 (including registration) prior to their first scheduled game.

3) Celebrate with us at Amalie Arena on October 23rd!

Support a Participant by Donating
When you donate to a participant's fundraising goal, you are not only supporting them but providing crucial funding for cancer research.   The Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation funds cancer research at NCI-accredited facilities across the nation, and we are proud to work with our healthcare partners at Moffitt Cancer Center here in Tampa.

Celebrate with Us!
Anyone can attend our Hockey Tournament to cheer on their favorite player!  Door donations will be accepted.

"We know how important it is to find the cure for cancer – its cruelty has touched all of us in some way. But, we cannot do it alone. Every day, we treat patients who cannot wait for tomorrow’s breakthrough – they need the most leading-edge treatments today.  That’s why the Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation partners with donors who understand this urgency and share our vision - to revolutionize cancer care and provide the best possible outcomes for our patients by accelerating the transformation of lab-based research into lifesaving treatments delivered directly to our patients’ bedside.  Your philanthropy gives us the resources we need to push beyond conventional thinking and develop the immediate treatments our patients need right now."     - Moffitt Cancer Center
