Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer ™ Detroit, Michigan
2025 Date To be Announced at the Rink at Campus Martius Park

Cancer knows no bounds of gender, age, or race - it impacts everyone.  In 2024, a little more than 2 million new cancer cases will be diagnosed in the US alone, and 611,720 people will die.  That's more than 1 person every minute dying because of this terrible disease.

CARES is proud to partner with the Downtown Detroit Partnership to present the 6th Annual Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer™ Detroit!  Proceeds from this event will support CARES' national cancer research and our healthcare partners here in Michigan, the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute.

Here's How You Can Get Involved!
Participate and Fundraise
1) Register for $35 to start fundraising and receive your Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer t-shirt.  We'll celebrate your efforts with items from our recognition program, and you can earn special Detroit-only incentives including  opportunities to skate in our Celebration Ice Show!

2) Grow our community by asking your family and friends to sign up with you or donate to your page.  Post about why supporting cancer research matters to you and invite others to join you on social media!

3) Fundraise for cancer research!  Every dollar you raise supports critical cancer research through CARES and our healthcare partners at Karmanos Cancer Institute.
3) Celebrate with us at our Ice Show!  Details to be announced.
Support a Participant by Donating
When you donate to a participant's fundraising goal, you are not only supporting them but providing crucial funding for cancer research.   The Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation funds cancer research at NCI-accredited facilities across the nation, and we are proud to work with our healthcare partners at Karmanos Cancer Institute.

Celebrate with Us!
Anyone can attend our celebration!  All admissions and door donations will continue to support our fundraising efforts for cancer research.
