In 2014 I heard the words “you have cancer”. Those words were so hard to hear. The fears of how my journey ahead would go set in right away. But thanks to my husband, family, friends, my skating club family and the many advances in treatments my journey was probably the best it could have been. We caught it early and that’s so important with breast cancer. Regular self exams make a difference. Today I am still cancer free and so very grateful.
