Join us for Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer ™ Reisterstown, Maryland hosted by the Worthington Valley Figure Skating Club at Reisterstown Sportsplex, for an on-ice Frozen 5k on November 9th, 2019 from 2-4pm!
 
"We understand that cancer is a debilitating and sometimes deadly disease. It seems we all know someone who has gone through the devastating experience of having a loved one with cancer.  Everyone knows someone with a cancer story that will rip your heart out. 

In 2019, there will be an estimated 1,762,450 new cancer cases diagnosed and 606,880 cancer deaths in the United States. Cancer is a beast.  The Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation is fighting that beast, and more and more they are winning. But it's still not enough. As long as anyone loses someone to cancer, it is not enough.  Right now there is no cure, but we are hoping to change that.  

If you have thought about giving to a charity, or know someone suffering from cancer and feel frustrated because there is nothing you can do, we hope you'll support our efforts!  We hope to empower our club members, their families and our community members who dare to lead,  to come together and to Turn Cancer Upside Down™!"

A portion of the net proceeds from this event will stay local and support the local Charity of Choice, Children's National.
