I am participating in Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer in honor of my dad, who lost his battle with melanoma in February 2025. Watching someone you love fight cancer is a journey that changes you forever, and losing him left a space in our family that can never be filled. By raising funds for cancer research, I hope to help drive progress toward better treatments, earlier detection, and ultimately, cures. No family should have to endure the pain and heartbreak that cancer brings, and I skate with the hope that one day, fewer families will have to say goodbye too soon.
