Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the 1984 Olympic Podium
at Glide at Brooklyn Bridge Park

Join us in celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the 1984 Olympic Men's Figure Skating Podium with an extraordinary fundraiser for cancer research!  Cancer knows no bounds of gender, age, or race - it impacts everyone.  In 2023, an estimated 1.9 million new cancer cases were diagnosed in the US alone, and 609,360 people died.  That's more than one person dying every minute because of this terrible disease.  

CARES is proud to partner with IMG, Glide at Brooklyn Bridge Park, and BSE Global to celebrate our Founder's Olympic Anniversary 40 years to the day of his historic win.  This special event commemorates the achievements of the 1984 Olympic Medalists in Men's Figure Skating while raising vital funds for CARES cancer research.

This celebration ice show Emceed by 1984 Olympic Gold Medalist Scott Hamilton is a once-in-a-lifetime event you don't want to miss!   World-class skating talents are joining us to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the 1984 Olympic Men's Figure Skating Podium, with appearances by 1984 Olympic Medalists Brian Orser and Jozef Sabovcik, 2022 Olympic Gold Medalist Nathan Chen, and performances by special guests to be announced.  Local skaters have an opportunity to fundraise and perform in the show alongside our incredible stars!

Your fundraising efforts or generous donation provides crucial funding for cancer research.  The Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation funds cancer research at NCI-accredited facilities across the nation, and we are proud to work with our healthcare partners at Memorial Sloan Kettering.
 

The Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation is dedicated to changing the future of cancer by funding advanced, innovative research that treats the cancer while sparing the patient. CARES is an established 501(c)3 and a national identity in the cancer community.  CARES, which stands for Cancer Alliance for Research, Education, and Survivorship, is creating a cancer network built upon strong partnerships with leading institutions, cancer support groups, and researchers to improve the quality of life and provide better outcomes for those living with cancer. 

A portion of the net proceeds from this event will stay local and support our healthcare partners at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
