I am only here today because my mom is a cancer survivor! I'm grateful for her and happy that her cancer has never returned. For others this is not the case. I choose to skate in honor of my mother, my cousin, Penny, (who after 20 years of remission is back in the fight) and for my friends who have won, lost or in the fight against cancer.
