I am thrilled the Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer Fundraising Event is returning to the Twin Cities. I hope every skater in the Twin Cities can experience what so many skaters did back in October 2018 with Scott Hamilton's Scott Cares Foundation. Our goal was to raise $5,000 in less than a month. Team River Blades skaters were motivated to push the limits and went on to raise raise over $15,500. The Twin Cities raised I believe over $78,000 in 2018 and those dollars were donated right back in to our community at the M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Masonic Childrens Hospital for cancer research. Scott Hamilton is not only famous for his Olympic Gold Medal in the 1984 Olympics he's also famous for his back flips on the ice and now through his foundation turning cancer upside down! I hope you will join me in all the festivities that are planned. Figure Skaters, Hockey Players, Recreational skaters-let's get excited & show how much support the Twin Cities has for turning Cancer upside down!
