As you probably know, figure skating is my greatest passion. I have been skating since I was 5 years old and have learned so many incredible life lessons on the ice as well as made wonderful friends and memories at the rink. The junior board of the Denver Colorado Figure Skating Club, of which I am a member, is hosting a 5K on ice to raise money for the Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation, which donates money to cancer research. The organization was founded by Olympic figure skating champion, Scott Hamilton. Hamilton is a cancer survivor and close friend of my skating coach. He will be skating in our annual “Showtime on Ice” show this year.
